About GC Therapies
Gordon Chittenden decided to develop GC Therapies to reach a wide audience with his therapeutic skills; building on the experience he gained working with semi-professional footballers.
Gordon has a wide range of experiences, having previously trained as a specialist Physical Education teacher with Primary age children to working as a football coach and pitchside first aider. It was whilst undertaking the latter role that Gordon discovered his skills in supporting players with sports injuries and undertook training in massage therapies.
From this point, Gordon was engaged by Eastleigh Football Club, of the Blue Square Bet Football Conference South, to provide massage therapy to players in conjunction with the work of the team sports therapist. After 18 months working Eastleigh, Gordon moved on to work with Team Solent in the Wessex League, providing the footballers at Southampton Solent University with massage therapies, support with rehabilitation and pitchside support on matchdays.
In the past, Gordon has also worked with a number of individual clients who range from rugby players; racquetball players; golfers; people who enjoy keeping fit; and pensioners with arthritic conditions.
